Talk by Matteo Falagiarda (European Central Bank) as part of the Research Seminar Series of the IOS Economics Department.
This seminar talk will cover recent economic developments in the EU Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, with a focus on the long-lasting impact of the multiple shocks hitting their economies over recent years. In addition, policy responses and the associated challenges will be discussed. Finally, the presentation will discuss the short-term outlook, medium-term risks and vulnerabilities, and the integration/convergence prospects of these economies.
