Kurzinfo

Olga Popova schloss 2005 ihr Studium an der wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Staatlichen Universität des Uralgebiets in Ekaterinburg mit einem B.A. in Ökonomischer Theorie ab. Sie setzte ihre Studien am CERGE-EI (Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute) in Prag fort, wo sie 2007 einen Abschluss als M.A. und 2012 als Ph.D. in Wirtschaftswissenschaften erlangte. Frau Popova arbeitet seit Oktober 2011 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Osteuropa-Institut Regensburg (seit Januar 2012 IOS Regensburg). Seit 2008 ist sie außerdem Mitarbeiterin am Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Institut der Wissenschaftlichen Akademie der Tschechischen Republik. Sie ist Redakteurin für Journal of Population Economics, Comparative Southeast European Studies und für Journal of Happiness Studies. Ihre wichtigsten Forschungsgebiete sind Umweltökonomie, Gesundheitsökonomie, ökonomische Glücksforschung, Ungleichheit, angewandte Mikroökonometrie und Transformationsökonomie. Seit 2021 ist sie Research Fellow am IZA Institute of Labor Economics.
