Oliver Reisner (8–14 July 2026)
Oliver Reisner is Jean Monnet Professor of European and Caucasian Studies at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia. His research focuses on the modern history of the South Caucasus, particularly memory cultures and the history of Caucasian Studies. He was a guest as a Fellow of the project “Commodity Frontiers in Eastern Europe. Environment and Societies at Global Risk, 16th–21st Centuries (COMFREE)”.
Luka Nakhutsrishvili (13 May–12 June 2026)
Luka Nakhutsrishvili is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia. His current research explores projects of modernity and political culture in Georgia. As a Fellow of the project “Commodity Frontiers in Eastern Europe. Environment and Societies at Global Risk, 16th–21st Centuries (COMFREE)”, he pursued research on “The Theatre-Caravanserai of Tiflis: Imperial Dreams of Modernisation in the Russian Caucasus, 1846–1874”. He also gave a presentation titled “On the Marriage and Divorce between Art and Commerce: The Theatre-Caravanserai of Tiflis and Imperial Dreams of Modernisation, 1846–1874”.
Yeghishe Kirakosyan (4–22 May 2026)
Yeghishe Kirakosyan is an Assistant Professor in the Chair of European and International Law at Yerevan State University in Yerevan, Armenia. His research focuses on international law, conflict resolution, arbitration and the role of international litigation in promoting peace. During his stay, he pursued research on “International Law and International Litigation. A Durable Path for Peace?” and gave a presentation titled “The Enforcement Journey of International Law: From Perception to Impact”.
Anna Dolidze (2–27 March 2026)
Anna Dolidze is a Professor of International Law at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her research focuses on international and comparative law, human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. During her stay, she pursued research on “The Politics of Transitional Justice in Georgia”.
Ia Eradze (2–27 June 2025)
Ia Eradze is an Associate Professor at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and a Researcher at the Institute of Social and Cultural Research at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her research focuses on the political economy and historical evolution of finance in the post-socialist space, particularly the emergence of financial institutions and elites in Georgia following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. During her stay, she pursued research on “Nation State Building in Georgia through the Prism of History of Finance: Imaginaries of the Nation in the 19th Century Banking Debates”.
Ala Kharatyan (4–28 March 2024)
Ala Kharatyan is a Senior Researcher at the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and Associate Professor at the Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences in Yerevan, Armenia. Her research focuses on Armenian literary, intellectual and cultural history, with a particular emphasis on medieval Armenian literature and historiography, as well as religious and mythological thought. During her stay, she pursued research on “Der Einfluss des Imperialismus Russlands auf das armenische historische Denken im 19. Jahrhundert”.
