Südosteuropäische Arbeiten

Book Series on History and Present of Southeast Europe

Südosteuropäischen Arbeiten is the longest-running book series published by the IOS. The series is dedicated to the history of Southeast Europe and, to a certain extent, also the present-day region. Südosteuropäischen Arbeiten primarily comprises outstanding monographs on these topics, as well as the occasional edited volume and source edition. Before going to print, all manuscripts are thoroughly re-edited by the editorial office in collaboration with the authors, which is not a typical step in the process of publishing series in the humanities in Germany. The wide-ranging scholarly reception is testimony to the series’ leading position in its field.
