Länder-Analysen

“Country Analytical Digests” on Russia and Ukraine

The German-language publication series Länder-Analysen (Country Analytical Digests) regularly provides expert analysis of current political, economic, social, and cultural developments in Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and Central Asia. The Länder-Analysen are part of a joint project that is committed to scientifically sound and accessible written analysis, openness to various points of view, as well as a free-of-charge, non-commercial distribution of information to a broad public. This prominent series of analytical digests is targeted at a non-specialist audience in academia, politics, business, and the general public. International scholars and experts provide the articles for the Länder-Analysen, which are assigned a DOI for citation purposes. The editorial teams consist of academics with many years of experience researching the respective countries.

Each year, IOS contributes ten issues focused on Russia and Ukraine. Moreover, Guido Hausmann, and Cindy Wittke-Hohlfeld are members of the scientific advisory board of the Ukraine-Analysen.

Additionally, Fabian Burkhardt, editor of Länder-Analysen at the IOS, has been a member of the Russian Analytical Digest (RAD) editorial team since 2023. The RAD is the English-language partner publication of the Länder-Analysen series. Fabian Burkhardt contributes about eight issues of the RAD per year.
