Digital library
The library is very active in the digitisation of its collections. Within the framework of projects and in coordination with research, books and journals are scanned and made accessible in full text, and research results are published. Smaller media are digitised by the library itself; larger digitisation work is carried out by the Bavarian State Library and the Regensburg University Library or service providers.
OstDok <http://www.ostdok.de/> and the Digital Forum Central and Eastern Europe (DiFMOE) serve as platforms. While copyright-protected publications for which the library has obtained the rights are made available on OstDok, German-language newspapers can be read on DiFMOE.
Other electronically available publications from library holdings and research can be found in the Digital Collections of the IOS. Digital copies on specific topics are compiled in various collections.
