Description

Daniel-Sorin Vintilă studied Romanian and Slavic Philology at the West University of Timișoara (B.A., 1995) and obtained his Ph.D. in Philological Studies from the same university in 2004. He has taught at the Romanian Lectureship of the University of Novi Sad (2012–2023) and, since 2023, at the Romanian Lectureship of the University of Regensburg. He was a member of the ULCAM project at the University of Bologna, where he also taught Romanian. His research interests include Romanian language, literature and culture, comparative literature, and the imperial legacy in the Banat region and Central Europe. He has frequently appeared in the media in Serbia and Romania, and in 2004 he received the Order of Merit for Education (Meritul pentru Învățământ).
