Katarina Damčević and Ekaterina Paustyan selected for Leibniz Mentoring Programme
Two IOS researchers, Katarina Damčević and Ekaterina Paustyan, have been selected for the prestigious Leibniz Mentoring Programme 2026/2027. Run by the Leibniz Association, it supports female postdoctoral researchers on their path to professorships and other leadership positions. Over 16 months, mentees receive one-to-one mentoring and attend career-development seminars, gaining access to an extensive network of researchers in the process.
At IOS, promoting gender equality and supporting scholars in the early stages of their careers are central tasks. IOS Director Ulf Brunnbauer said, "The mentoring is one of the Leibniz Association's most valuable programmes. We are particularly pleased that two of our international researchers were accepted. We also see this as recognition of the Institute's internationality, which is essential for excellent research."
Both Katarina Damčević and Ekaterina Paustyan are part the new IOS Department of Politics. To learn more about their research interests, please visit their personal profiles.
