Research Data at the IOS
Research data is collected from researchers in all the different disciplines represented at the IOS, i.e., economics, political science, and history, as well as other disciplines, in the case of collaborative projects. This diversity of research data is a strength, but at the same time a challenge, because handling it requires coping with this disciplinary diversity.
Research Data Policy
The IOS Research Data Policy therefore formulates recommendations and guidelines for handling research data, which are intended to help scientists and research data managers to meet these requirements. The measures for handling research data contained in the Research Data Policy is based on what are known as FAIR principles (findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability) and, as you might expect, is intended to make research data more findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
Research Data Portal LaMBDa
Research data created at the Institute will be published in the institutional research data repository LaMBDa and distributed via the research data service OstData (which is currently being developed) in open access.
