Open Access at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies
The aim of open access is to provide unrestricted and free access to scientific knowledge. Publicly funded research results should be made accessible and reusable free of charge and without technical or legal barriers in order to promote global participation in knowledge, stimulate scientific communication processes, and increase efficiency in research and innovation. For IOS researchers, open access means a significant increase in visibility and citation frequency of their publications.
Open Access Policy
The IOS is committed to the principles of open access and open science. It supports its staff in making their research freely accessible and participates in the further development of the paradigm of open knowledge in a digital society. With its Open Access Policy, the IOS adheres to the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities and the Open Access Policy of the Leibniz Association.
