Description
Tobias Korn studied economics at the University of Heidelberg (MA 2017). In 2023, he was awarded the his PhD from Leibniz University Hannover for his dissertation on “The Economic Consequences of Political Turmoil.” Afterwards, he worked as Assistant Professor (“Akademischer Rat”) at Leibniz University Hannover. Since July 2026, he substitutes Prof. Arevik Gnutzmann-Mkrtchyan as the head of the economic department at the IOS in Regensburg.
His research focusses on economic history and (historical) political economy in Europe. Most of his projects involve the collection and digitization of large historical databases for microeconometric analyses.
