Südost-Forschungen 83 (2025) published
The 83rd edition of Südost-Forschungen (SOF) is published. The IOS's annual journal once again presents the latest historical research on Southeast Europe.
This time, it contains 16 articles spanning 520 pages.
The first of these is a thematic focus entitled 'Towards a Social History of Albanians in Socialist Yugoslavia', to which five articles are assigned.
The open contribution section includes a study of the relationship between architecture and the public in Habsburg-occupied Bosnia, as well as an article on the Timișoara riots of 3 September 1940.
The section 'From Southeast European Research' provides a brief history of the German bowling club in Bucharest, alongside reflections on Nazi-looted property based on holdings in the IOS Regensburg library.
There is also a source edition: Jörg von Nürnberg's report on his activities under the Ottomans in the second half of the 15th century.
An obituary is dedicated to Klaus Kreiser.
The volume concludes with reviews of 63 books.
