IOS on Mastodon and Bluesky

News from the IOS is now available on two additional social media platforms: Mastodon and Bluesky. This expansion means that updates from the institute, including announcements about publications, job vacancies, and expert assessments of Eastern and Southeast Europe, are now more accessible than ever. In addition to our ongoing presence on Facebook and X/Twitter, we are broadening our reach to include these new platforms. This decision comes in light of increasing discussions surrounding X/Twitter, a network that, despite its relevance to the scientific community, has seen some developments that the IOS views critically. Our goal is to ensure that important information remains permanently accessible, without the need for registration, and in a manner that respects data protection. By expanding our activities to include services like Mastodon, we are taking a step towards achieving this goal.
