Internship at the economics department

The Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) offers an unpaid internship at the economics department. The interns acquire skills in collecting and processing data as well as in reviewing literature. Additionally, they get to know the general tasks in the economic department. Occasionally, they participate in current projects under academic supervision.
The internships minimum length is 4 weeks. An internship with a duration of at least 6 weeks can be considered with up to 6 ECTS (4 ECTS for „Honors“ internships) in the optional module of the bachelor’s and master’s degree in BWL, VWL und IVWL at the University of Regensburg.
Candidates are expected to study Economics, International Economics or a related field of study. Experience with statistical software (e.g. Stata, R, SPSS) or general knowledge of programming as well as working knowledge of an Eastern European language is an asset.
