Andi Balla

Andi Balla joined IOS in July 2023 to conduct his doctoral research on the effect of public narratives on demographics as part of the “Transforming Anxieties of Ageing in Southeastern Europe” project. He holds an M.Sc. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a B.Sc. from the University of Wyoming and comes to this research field after a career as a journalist and media development expert in the Western Balkans, Canada and the United States, where he focused on reporting on migration and demographics among several other topics.
