Educational Platform REESOURCES: Rethinking Eastern Europe
Ivanna Cherchovych will be presenting the educational platform she leads at the Center for Urban History in Lviv, titled REESOURCES: Rethinking Eastern Europe, moderated by Dr Katarina Damčević (IOS).
Dr Ivanna Cherchovych is a researcher and head of educational projects at the Center for Urban History in Lviv. She is also a research fellow at the Department of Social Anthropology of the Ethnology Institute, National Academy of Science of Ukraine, holding a Ph.D. from the Ivan Krypiakevych Institute of Ukrainian Studies. She has been a visiting research fellow at various institutions, including the Herder Institute for the History of East and Central Europe in Marburg, the German Historical Institute in Warsaw, and the Center for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at Toronto University.
She is the author of the course "To Be a Woman in the Late 19th Century Eastern Galicia" at the Ukrainian Catholic University and a member of the Ukrainian Association of Researchers of Women's History. Her current research focuses on women's experiences in urban spaces in Habsburg Galicia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The event is organised by KonKoop (Conflict and Cooperation in Eastern Europe), in cooperation with the IOS Regensburg and Leibniz ScienceCampus “Europe and America in the Modern World”.
