Talk by Lieutenant General (ret.) Erhard Bühler (Berlin) in the series "War. Peace. Security".
Erhard Bühler served as Lieutenant General in the German Bundeswehr for 44 years, retiring in 2023. His roles including serving as commander of NATO’s Joint Force Command in Brunssum, Netherlands, in 2019-20. Joining the Bundeswehr in 1976, Bühler completed General Staff training in 1988 and held numerous international positions throughout his career. He notably commanded the 9th German contingent of KFOR in Kosovo in 2004 and led NATO troops there in 2010. Prior to his role in Brunssum, he headed the Planning Department at the German Ministry of Defense. He shares his expertise regularly in the MDR podcast "Was tun, Herr General? - Der Podcast zum Ukraine-Krieg".
