Kurzinfo

Ekaterina Mikhailova ist Humangeografin und forscht an der Schnittstelle zwischen Post-Soviet Area Studies, Border Studies und Governance. Seit August 2022 ist sie als Post-Doc am IOS Regensburg im Projekt "Conflict and Cooperation in Eastern Europe: The Consequences of the Reconfiguration of Political, Economic, and Social Spaces since the End of the Cold War" (KonKoop). Vor ihrer Tätigkeit am IOS war Ekaterina Mikhailova als Postdoktorandin an der Universität Genf, am Hochschulinstitut für internationale Studien und Entwicklung (beide in der Schweiz, 2020—2022) sowie an der University of Eastern Finland (Finnland, 2018—2019) tätig. Sie ist Mitherausgeberin zweier Sammelbände: Twin Cities: Urban Communities, Borders and Relationships over Time (Routledge, 2019) und Twin Cities across Five Continents: Interactions and Tensions on Urban Borders (Routledge, 2022). Zudem ist sie Autorin englisch- und russischsprachiger Publikationen zu Grenzstädten, Migration, postsowjetischen Transformationen und Governance.
